Smoke in the Kitchen Featured at the 2026 KDU Global Reunion

Gloria S. N. Allen’s novel, Smoke in the Kitchen: A Novel About Second Chances, was featured during the 2026 KDU Global Reunion in Atlanta, Georgia. Hosted by the KDU Georgia Chapter, the reunion brought members of the Krio community together under the theme ‘Sabi yu Kɔlchɔ,’ celebrating heritage, cultural identity, community, and connection. The presentation of Smoke in the Kitchen highlighted Gloria Allen’s contribution to Sierra Leonean and Krio-centered literature before an international community audience.
